interchangeable interiors?

Hi Guys,

I recently had my car broken into and they did a pretty bad job of taking my stereo because they really messed up my trim panel:



I found the part I need through this site and was planning on ordering it until I was told that all 94-04 interiors are interchangeable. The reason I need to know is because the trim panel for 96 Mustang is approx. $130 compared to an 03 Mustang which is approx $50. I'm a broke college student so I really need to know if this is true. Can anyone help? It's been three depressing months since the break-in and I can't drive around like this anymore.

P.S. I'm pretty sure I could get what I need from a junk yard but I don't have anyone to come with me and I wouldn't know what I was doing. Thanks!

Hum, I'm not really sure. I assume all the pieces will bolt into the dash without to many problems, but if you are wanting to use the rear defrost and foglight boltons you will have to wire them. Of course you could just have buttos there that don't do anything. You sure don't want the T/C. The 01 and up Mustangs have a 6 disc CD changer instead of a cd/cassette player.

You won't be able to use any newer than 2000 unless you rework the area behind the dash.
