If you really want to get headers your choices are limited, but I'd go MAC LT, MAC high flow catted H-pipe, and then you have your choice of cat back systems from their. Headers really aren't gonna give you a lot of power if your car currently consists of just bolt ons. Maybe worth a few, but not significant enough to pour out the money and time in my opinion. I'd just get a nice high flow H-pipe and good cat back system. I'm a flowmaster fan and have had my exhaust for 50K miles now and still sounds great. 40 series flowmasters = nice.

headers are worthless on the v6 in stock form, dont throw away your money. For exhaust do a catback with what ever brand mufflers you like. You can get a GT catback with an adapter to make yours true duals if you want.

Ok I tend to disagree with the other two postings. I went with Mac Long tube headers and true dual system, I also cut the cats off <now with some states you can not do that & if your state has Smog inspection go with shorty headers> and noticed a nice gains of about 15 HP to the wheels.

now my car is a 2004 split port car, but I will say save you money and do not go with borla <though the sound is Grrrrrreeeeaaat!!!> and get a good set of 40 series flowmasters. Then just have the shop install the headers and make a true dual for you.

Just to give you an ideal I had the following on my car:

1. Ebay Cold Air Intake
2. 42% Reduction Underdrive Pulleys
3. CNL MAF 70mm Housing
4. Mac LT Headers
5. True Dual Exhaust <cats cut>
6. 180 Thermostat <was only like 7$ so I thought why not>
8. Good set of Wires and Plugs
9. SCT XCAL II with 93 octane tune

With those minor add ons I got 189 RWHP and 205 RWTQ, and really that only cost about $1300.00 considering you can do alot of the labor your self. The tuner was the most expensive part at 379.00....

Any way headers are very nice gain for the money.....

Thank you sir

Yeah people just really have no ideal how quick the little sixes can be with just a few small mods. You after a set like that add a small shot of NOS and it is on...I ran a 75 shot with a decent tune and it ran great!

With just the bolt on mods my best 1/4 time 14.71....So it is worth it you ask me!
