Fog Light problem.

Ok so I have had my fog light kit installed for about 12-15 months and about two months ago the bulbs shorted out on me due to water getting into the lense. The end of the wire was also really messed up, but I found a replacement off ebay. However, when I attached it and of course put new bulbs in it did not light up. I know the switch is working because when i press it it lights up. I also checked the fuse and it was fine, however I found some corrosion on the relay. I'm going up to discount tonight to get a new relay and hopefully that will do it, but we will see? Advise is appreciated.

Ok i went up to discount and popped in a new relay and still nothing, but they didn't make me pay for it so that was good. Tommorrow I'm going to go through the installation process from A-Z.

Yeh, just check all your wiring, may be as easy as a loose ground...the button inside the car gets power seperate than the lights. What kit do you have?

It could be the switch itself it gets power and transfers it through the switch try bypassing the switch for a min and see if that fixes the problem if it does just replace the switch.

Aight, check the ground on that side and make sure you soldered the connectors properly on the connector where the light plugs in. And FYI, you don't need to touch the bulb.

lol...
Well, I have GT obviously, but I have a fog light out as well thanks to it breaking and getting water all inside the casing. I'm getting a cobra front bumper soon and will need to replace the fog lights with that anyway, but, I know it sucks!

Ok so i went through the orignial instructions on how to install the lights and did everything from steps A-Z and now I have the passenger light working, but the drivers side is not. I know the ground wire is good because its the small drivers side ground which is also connected to the main relay ground. I'm assuming the power wire is bad which is running from the relay to the drivers side fog light. So if that is the case should I just run a power wire strait from the positive side of the battery?

that would be a good way to test it but if their is a short anywhere else you will probly blow your bulb without a fuse. (if their is a short)

So I went out on a very random yet hot date tonight and what made the date complete was when i pulled up in her driveway i noticed both lights were working.....I might have to hang on to this one....Problem is thus solved temporarily but we'll see.
