I've been looking around on the internet and cant find any gt takeoffs. Its a 2004 by the way. Also with the GT takeoff do you need to buy the adapter to fit the v6? What do you think would sound better: a v6 with a gt takeoff or a v6 with flowmaster super 40's and thats all? Thanks so much

GT takeoff is when a GT upgrades his exhaust and sells his pipes to a v6er. I'm not really sure where to find one (someone else will know) but the v6 with flowmasters will sound definitely better in my opinion... the gt takeoffs alone are better than stock, but won't sound how you want them to (not like an 8, which historically most v6ers want)

Well what I was planning on doing was getting a gt takeoff then replacing those mufflers with flowmaster 40's. Would that sound good or would just flowmaster 40s with straight pipes made from an exhaust guy be better?

I have a v6 and I bought a mac dual exhaust then went to the store and the guy put in a straight pipe....so now I have a mac exhaust with a straight pipe and it sounds pretty good.

welcome to the dilemma that 99% of v6 owners have: exhaust indecision. if i had a quarter for the amount of people who wondered what exhaust to get, id have my college tuition paid for. GT owners have it too sometimes, but its easier for them because its a v8. but the v6ers put more thought into it. in the end, you cant go wrong with whatever you do. it will always sound better than stock... both your options are going to sound great... id honestly do whatever is cheaper.

I went through a few different setups on my car...
Mach 1 catback, stock midpipe
Flowtech afterburners, stock midpipe
Flowtech afterburners dumped, stock midpipe
Mach 1 mufflers, offroad X
Flowtech afterburners dumped, offroad X
Flowtech afterburners, offroad X
My favorite of all of those were the original Mach1 catback with stock midpipe and my last setup. Was going to change it up again just never got the energy.

Hey...gotta love exhaust questions. anyway, there are a lot of options. I stuck with my stock Y pipe and just got a magnaflow dual exhaust kit...works great and I lvoe the sound. It's really mellow under normal driving but sounds great when i let it rip. Definalty reccomend listening to some sound bites with different mufflers on a v6...it will help a lot.

I have changed my mind once again on which exhaust I think I will most likely buy, but I'm pretty sure this one will stay for a while. I've been watching videos and I like the sound of the MAC catback that bolts on to they y pipe. Also its like $329. Does anybody have any opinions on the MAC catback?

You might want to check with Rob (PureVenom), but I'm not sure what happened to mine when I got my MagnaFlows, but they might be around. Him and Cody @ Stang Hi did the swap, I'm pretty sure Rob kept my stockers, you may want to ask him.

They were left at the other house when we moved. I posted them up for sale on here and no one was looking....I'm sure brandon tossed them with the 10 gallons of used oil I left for him as well.
