what is the diffrence between the two is one better then the other

The difference is the way the pipe is made, one is the shape of an x and the other an h....they have different sounds, the h is a low rumble and the x is more a raspy growl.....they make the same amount of power so it basically comes down to the sound you want

the h pipe is more of a straight pipe i have a 88 mustang 5.0 with a bbk h pipe with no cats an i can tell u its freaken lowd an the faster u go the louder it is

both are designed to balance out both sides of the motor and create a scavaging effect. The main diff. is that the H-pipe can't do it's job above 3,000RPMs. where the x-pipe works at any RPM.
