I bet Brenda Priddy just puts a car cover over a few 2008 GT's, removed a few parts, and takes pictures of them. Then sells them as 2010 spy shots.

if she really could take a good spy shot, it would be of the car without the covers. when that happens, then i'll be impressed.

I dont think its a spy shot when they are taking the damn thing to mcdonalds in all of its camo... people know where they test them at... anyone can sit out and wait for one to drive outside and snap a pic.

They better include IRS. The Camaro and Challenger will have it and all the magazines were surprised when the 2005 came out without IRS; especially since the Lincoln LS had it. Ford won't get away with half a$$ing the Mustang this time because there is real competition.

I hear people saying they want IRS but when offered in the 99/01/03-04 Cobra's many wanted a solid axle back. I know that the cobra was a low production model so cost was increased . Buyer's have said that they do not want a heavy ponycar (IE) "GTO/NEW CAMARO/CHALLENGER ,as stated in many forums. IMO, maybe it should be an extra cost option to those who appreciate a more compliant suspension.

thats because they put IRS in a chassis not designed for it. IIRC the S197 Chassis is designed for IRS but got solid rear due to cost reasons. Plus ford needs to design one a bit better.
I agree though, i think IRS should at least be an option.

True point!!!!! I just wish Ford would give us more performance car options like they did in the mid 80's and late 60's !! As much as i like mustangs a RWD counter to Dodge's SRT-8's / Pontiac G-8 / etc would be a welcome edition. A new Thunderbird simular to the 83-88 models would be nice also another performance sedan like the Marauder with a 400 + h.p. drivetrain would be nice. Sorry about getting off the topic guys just wishing out loud !!!!

I am a long time owner of several mustangs. I hope Ford finds a way to give us a mustang that will be a bargain to own, build, and drive. The " competition" sees fit to give 6speed manual transmissions, some give 368hp, and some even come in at a lower price. Not good for us. I now own a 2007 GT Covertible and almost traded it for a Corvette, due to the idea that for $47250, I get 430hp, targa roof, and 6speed paddle shift automatic. When is Ford going to give us real performance and modern day equipment along with a price tag that says, " We are delivering true bang for the buck."?( as did the mustangs of the 80's and early 90's). I know, I know -- let's talk about the Shelby gt500, the Roush, the Saleen, etc. I don't feel they are a great deal. The GT500 was retailing for $5000 to $20000 above sticker price ( that is no deal ). I feel that Ford is resting on the fact that the other companies that built cars in this same class are out and they (Ford) can deliver the same old crap year after year without any real improvements to the product (the hoods still shake at speed-after four production years this should have been fixed by now). I know, I know, improvements came with next generation design, however it should not stop there. Since the 2005 redesign, Ford just added more options to increase the profit margin. I have hung in long enough and tried to be loyal, But this needs to be heard. Ford needs to step up and offer a mustang that is affordable, with engines that deliver true grunt, and transmissions that rival the other companies that try to compete for the same market share (6 speed auto with paddle shifting would be nice). The technology is here, TELL FORD TO USE IT.
