Shelby CS6/CS8 hood: anyone tried it? advice?

I wrecked my 07 GT and am replacing stock hood with a CS6/CS8 hood. AFTER I ordered it from Shelby I found a forum site with some comments that got me worried about fit issues and clearance. Have any of you tried installing the CS6 hood on a GT mustang?...I have a strut tower brace that may get in the way, although guy at Shelby says they "have some here with STBs on V8s that the hoods fit fine". We'll see I guess...

see if your STB comes up higher than the strut tower if it doesnt then it will probably be ok, even if its higher it still will probably clear~

Thanks for reply. My STB is higher than the strut towers so we'll wait and see how it fits. The guy who posted the thread at the link below put the hood on a SGT...you think it'd at least fit that car( Its a damn nice car he's put together by the way!).
