Sorry if this has come up on another post, its my retardedness for not looking. I got a 99-02 v6 hood for free a few months ago. It doesn't have the holes for the raised hood scoop, so it must be a v6 hood. Will an 01-04 hood scoop fit the hood? I'll have to drill the holes myself. Maybe someone has done this before. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the guide, it was very helpful. I guess i shouldn't encounter any serious problems. Do you know any good places to find the scoop other than ebay.

if its an 01+ hood at the back underside of the hood under the blanket there will be two two inch indented circles that the back two bolts of the hood scroop go in. you can use that along with a template to quickly put the scoop on.

Thanks, i'll have to check the hood out. I got it from the local auto body shop. I'll ask the owner, maybe he'll know what year car it came from.
Unfortunately its black, my car is sonic blue, have to have it painted.
