I installed a cd player in my 95 stang yesterday and its working fine, but this morning when I drove to work the instrument panel was out. I wonder what the problem is. I thought it was a fuse but the clock still works and they are on the same one. Am I missing something? Is there an easy fix?
I'd still check fuses. You could of blew another fuse. If you have a multimeter switch it to continuity and just go through them all, or pull them out one by one. Also this may sound stupid but make sure your dimmer switch is all the way up lol.

get a power wire tester so you can see which powers have/dont have power and when they have/dont have it and you can track down the trouble. You should of course look at the diagram and fine the key hot and the all time how (to keep the time and such stored) and go from there. make sure the ground is good also. If its not the light(tester light) wont light up when a wire is hot.
