electrical problem?

One of my dash light bulbs was out on my 92 LX so I took the gauge cluster out to replace it. I had to move my car while the gauges were out. The car started and idled fine but when giving it some throttle it cuts out! Is this because my gauge cluster is disconnected or just coincidental and something else is wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!!

I believe that you are dealing with a separate problem there. You don't need the guage cluster to run the engine.I would check for fuel & spark first.Then check the throttle position sensor operation if fuel & spark check ok.Hope this is helpful
