Never really liked the guy, but he was definitely talented. Good to see him go out on a good note, he had a spectacular year last year.

I was really looking to him coming back for at least one more try. I've been a Favre fan since I was a kid. After last year, this was really unexpected.

Well he has been playing for 16 or 17 years....That's an amazing stretch in the NFL....it's sad to see him go, i also wished he stayed for one more year.....i hope he enjoys his retirement, he has definately earned it.

I'll tell you one thing about him, he knew he was going to retire this year, and you could just see he had a blast playing this year. I remember watching one game in the snow, and when his reciever caught his touch down pass, he rolled a snow ball and started pelting him. Its great to watch a guy get so much enjoyment from a game. I am glad he was able to have a good year to retire on.
