Trans. swap ?

I've got a 73 F-100 w/ a 302 and a c4 trans. I want to put an AOD in it and was wondering if it will just bolt right in or not.

As long as you get the correct bellhousing and input shaft you'll be fine...might wanna check on the flexplate as well.

The transmission should have no problems itself, just a matter of getting all the pieces inbetween

You might need to get a new slip yoke on the driveshaft, but I'm not sure. Also, you'll need a harness and computer if you go with an AOD-E, but that would probably be more work than its worth in an older truck.
