Throttle

Just got a 2004(40th Ann.) Mustang convertible on friday. Anyway popped the hood sunday and realized my acceleration was kinda wierd. The throttle cable? was really loose. I went to another forum and they told me how to do something with the pedal itself to tighten the cable but is there a way i can tighten it without messing with the pedal?

I did the mod to take up the slack in the throttle cable but it just stretched out again. What I would do if I was you is pop the hood and push the gas petal to the floor. If you hear it click (all the way open) your good. Get a friend to ensure its as far as it can go. As long as you are there you have no worried.
