i just bought a stock 88gt 5speed, what should be my first step for more performance, my car is gonna be a weekend car to have fun in. i have 2000 to put into it
what is the biggest cam i can use for a speed density car, i priced mass air and they want 2000 to convert to mass air, id rather use money for more power like heads, ca, and nos
dont just stick a cam in your car and be done with it. You need to do it all at once to get the best bang for the buck. Heads/Cam/Intakes for your given short block that work best with it (custom grind the cam not out of the box crap like an E303...) the 5.0 can make great power if you do it right... might be a bit on the expensive side but thats what speed is... money = how fast you want it to go lol.

both of those would be good kits with a custom. I don't see any problems at all going that route. update springs with your custom grind. get a grinder that gives a full cam event card.
