I want to put a new radio and speakers in my GT. it has the standard radio with two speakers in the door, and two in the back seat.
how big are they and what speakers do you reccommend that go loud, have nice sounds, and can compare to the bose sound system in my vette?
also, im looking at a Sony head unit with bluetooth and xm radio. 52W X4. any good?

Door 5.5" Dash 3.5" Rear 5x7 Don't know enough about the sound system to help ya out But I'm sure someone will chime in

COOL thanks. when you say 3.5" Dash you mean the head unit right? or is there a center speaker i dont know about?

i know there are different radios for this thing, mine has the tape player with am/fm.

5x7 or 6x8 speakers will work without any kind of adapter or modification in your Mustang.
5 1/2" will work with an adapter plate that Crutchfield provides when you buy the speakers from them. |

thanks, i would like not to have to modify as that gets more expensive when it comes to install . also sorry this is not in the audio section. I just found that 5 min ago.

The Mach 460 systems have a tweeter up top too

Just picked it up and it sounds AWSOME. got 5 new infinity speakers ( i added a center channel speaker to the dash, they did a great job of hiding it. you only see it if you look really close. the deck i used was an alpine CD/am/fm/xm/bluetooth/ipod/Hd radio. i had them add the ipod, bluetooth, and xm kit, i dont need the HD radio. so even though its Hd ready i wont use it. plus i had a new low profile antenna installed. looks so much better than the stocker. im very pleased and its awsome now. next thing i will probably do is add some subs, but i would miss the trunk space, thats all im worried about.

check out JL audio they offer a powered 10" sub that mountsin the trunk behind the wheel well on the side is you dont lose any useable space. it go for like 650-700 last time i loked and it has a built in amp so all you have to do is wire it in.
