It's time to get tires. The stock pirelli's have been burned dry. I've ordered some Goodyear Eagle F1's because I get them a tad cheaper, and I'm curious to what they can do. They are made from some type of lava magma or something... Anyway ... I park my car outside in the Goodyear Parking lot, walk in to sign the papers ... The next thing I know, I get a phone from the person picking me up... She HIT MY CAR! WHILE IT WAS PARKED!!! OMGOSH!!! I'M SO PISSED! Her insurance is covering it thankfully ... But I asked her how she managed to hit a parked car, turns out. She was texting while trying to park beside my car. So now i'm convinced ... There is NO SAFE PLACE to put your car... Ever. On top of that, It just hailed, so I have 40 dingers on the roof/hood/trunk/quarter panels... When it rains it poors...

I'll go ahead and answer your question about the F1s....sell them...get some different tires.
Nitto street radials are good....last a long time. F1s came stock on the cobras, they are garbage....but great for burnouts.

Haha, so true. Eventhough when I got the car they were mostly gone...they're still crap. Fixed 99% of my wheel hop going with a real tire on the back.

So does the body damage mean stock replacements or aftermarket kit?

well, i'm not sure how to work the insurance on this...but i'd LOVE a new hood, and I haven't thought about aftermarket kits really. i'm about an inch off the ground now, though I'm sure i can find something.

Basically, you get a quote for repairs based on stock parts...then, you tell whomever is ordering the parts to order the aftermarket upgrades....if it costs more, you make up the difference.
I did this with my 2000 GT with the front bumper. I ended up making $200 as the saleen replacement was cheaper than the stock replacement.

Have you received an estimate yet so you know what you are dealing with? I would get the trunk and quarter panels used from a junkyard or take-offs from an aftermarket place and then get a sick hood of my choice. Not sure how much you have to penny pinch or splurge though

Hail damage can be repaired perfectly by Dent Wizard, and you won't have to replace anything. Insurance will cover it.

1,000. I've hear the dent doctor works good, but when it heats up, there are chances of the dents coming back. I MAY be able to get them removed which would save my deductible.
