im debating whether or not i want to cam my 02 v6 mustang. is it worth it to cam my car if i dont do heads and lower intake at the same time? i mostly want it for sound but the performance is an added bonus. im thinking about a duration of 218/224. what do you guys think? and about how long is the install? because im gonna have to pay to get it done. and do i just need springs and retainers?

the sound will be a let down for you as well as the performance gain with just a cam. You will probably pick up about 10 hp if you are lucky maybe 15. Without doing heads and intakes its a total waste as you have to tear apart all that nearly in the process... do it all or dont do any of it.

It will be expensive. I would guess 800-3000 depending on where you take it lol. Get it all and build the motor or better yet buy a used engine and build it up and then just drop it in so you wont have as much down time.
