if they are metal they are MUCH harder to get off. You will need to come up with someway to start them pealing without messing up the paint. If you can find some old screws that are about 2 inchs at least and JB weld them to the inserts and let it cure you can then use some plyers and pull them off and then just roll off the glue and use some regular wax (takes a while) to remove the remainder. If they are just the stick on then you will just have to take your time to start pealing them.
If they are metal do NOT just try and pry them... you will mess up the paint. Tape up the area around the insert and so as I said... they dont come off easy.
