Seal
Phil Collins / Genesis
Peter Gabriel
Bryan Adams
shit like that is what i refer to as "easy listening". I had a easy listening CD for my GT because if i listened to that i would drive calmer, but the second i put in some Metal/Hard Rock id start to put lives at risk. call it ghey but a few times it saved me from more tickets, id put the cd in and 2 seconds later after slowing down id pass a cop hiding behind a onramp or something.

I'd also like to suggest Alison Krauss - Jacob's Dream. It's a really really good slow song with a, depressing, yet great story.

Country music is easy listening. not that blue grass crap. coutry music. george strait, alan jackson, brooks and dunn, etc
IMO a CD with the kind of songs posted above would be thrown from car. That stuff drives me nuts for some reason. same with bluegrass.

yeah when I am in a chiiled out mood is when I listen to country the most...As stated above, some George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Garth Brooks, pretty much the late 80s to mid 90s country is the best.
Other then that, I like listening to Boston, Blue Oyster Cult, CCR, and the likes in a relaxed mood.

If you like Jack Johnson I'd look into Donovan Frankenreiter (and Donovan) also G. Love and Special Sauce.
Mt. Egypt, Tod Adrian Wisenbaker and Michael Runion although some of this may be a little folky.

pretty much the only time in my life when country music was even an acceptable listening medium. I remember lots of songs from that late 80's early 90's country era. now its pretty crappy again, however it still boggles my mind as to how we have 3 country stations and 0 rock station, then again theres 13 mexican stations to offset it.....
