Went today to see the 92 Special Edition Mustang for sale in a neighboring city. I told myself you're just looking and that's all.
I weakened and did more than look. I bought it.
It had sat under a carport for awhile as the owner had gotten a divorce, lost his job, and his ex had sold his gun collection. He should hope she sold all of them.
Very dirty and the top needs a thorough cleaning as does the whole car.
But the good part was it was bone stock down to the silencer in the air cleaner, original paint, top in good working order and condition, 49,000 miles, 5 speed, interior dirty but no tears, and everything works. No power seat and factory am/fm. The wheels are in perfect condition and even the door molding rubber is is excellent.
It was not mint but it was a diamond in the rough as I am a good detailer.
I drove it and it was tight and the clutch was smooth and engine ran fine and shifted nicely.
He was asking 6900. I went home called him and bemoaned the work to clean it and the missing white boot cover and got him to 5800. So I'm telling my wife it's you guys fault I bought it.
