lol you pay my gas and it's a deal. By the end of the week here, it should be about 4 bucks a gallon for unleaded.

Sure. The 2-3 miles extra per gallon you get by not getting a Mustang will surely be make it or break it for your bank account

all the G35's here are starting at 30k$ for 07+. iirc someone got a fully loaded 07 GT for just under 29k out the door.
GT is faster too. FYI with my 02 GT (which should be slower than a 05+) i ran a G35 UPHILL over the grapevine, 3 times out of 3 i just walked away. we reached the flat area before the downhill side and i just layed into him and didnt let off until i was around 145ish. subsequently afterwards i got a speeding ticket for doing 80 on the downhill side about 2 minutes after he finally caught up and did a flyby on me.
So you gotta put things into perspective on what you want. G35 is obviously a far nicer car, better amenities, looks, mileage, more refined, etc. the GT has heritage, it has power, it has balls. If i was looking for a nice DD in that price range, it would be the G35 (knowing that i still had another weekend car that was a performer so performance is not an issue) but if i wanted a car that was a good mix of everything (IE if it was my only car) for that price range, GT all the way.
btw after yesterdays 200mpt glory i filled up again, $4.14/gal for 91. i think it was $58 to top it off (usually 50$ when its under $4/gal nt to mention i usually get gas the second the light pops on, since im usually not trying to break my own mileage records)

lol I remember that story, damn that was awhile ago. We'll see how insurance looks on either car, it'll be another deciding factor. I also am getting a bit older and I'm starting to want to have something comfortable and more for my money.

If you're really that worried about gas mileage get an econobox and call it done. In other words, stop whining and man up or just give up. Your choice.
I don't care what gas costs (even though 87 is 3.45 here right now), I'm gonna keep driving the same way I always did and just not worry about it.

Gas mileage plays into part of it, would you rather get a car that gets slightly better mileage and the same horsepower as the other? It makes sense to me.
3.45? Holy christ I wish it were that low here

Ours was that....now it is in the 50s somewhere....premium is mid 80s now.
That $700 civic is sounding better and better every day....no matter how dirty it makes me feel.

I'm trying to figure out how to word an email stating that when gas hits 4+ per gallon for regular that I will need to work from home at least one day a week. I'm already running my "safe" tune so I can run gas other than Chevron when needed...and I can't drop to 87....
