my grandpa just bought a new TCI c/6 for his 80 f-100, the tranny came with a 2500 stall converter and he hates it. i have been wanting a stall for my 68 fastback. my question is will the torque converters on a c/4 and c/6 innerchange? it is a TCI 10 inch 2500 stall if that matters.

Red thong, party's on, love this song, sing along.
Come together, leave alone, see you later back at home
No one really knows if shes drunk or is she's stoned
but she's coming back to my place tonight
If you call tci they can install anti balooning plates in the converter for a little bit more. Then you won't have to worrie about it if you beef up the power.
you also have to really pay attention to what kind it is... and all converters are "stall" it just depends on what speed you want it to stall at... i can launch my 65 at like 2750 so that rated speed isnt always a good way to look at it...

id also reccomend a trans go shift kit... with the 2.80s and the 3.40s it will bark hitting second (with 245 tires on the back)... it hits HARD
thanks! iam not sure what kit is in my trans because it was already built when i got it but my grandmother told the trans shop she wanted it to "break your damn neck when it shifts" and even with the stock 302 in it it will bark the tires at 1/4 throtal 1-2 and if you lay into it it will spin them about 2 to 3 feet in second and bark then in 3rd. anyways the stall is a 2500 satrday night special that my grandpa ordered with the tranny. but now i have to pull the 351w back out of the 68 stang so I can rebuild it again 500 miles later. so ill just order a new one to match my set up.
