instrument cluster swap

hi guys, having problem with new cluster, i wanted to conver my car from miles to kms, i bought the car in the us but live in canada, wife complains about the cluster, to make it a short story, finaly found one in kms, installed it and the theft light is blinkig and car wont start, someone please hels , thanks.
