Right, so I have to tell someone this. So I was around town with my buddy and we were chasing some ricers, we went to their little ricer meet and did a burnout or three. Then we went to eat and we saw all of them drive by, about 20 of them. So we chased them through town, blah bah blah, their "leader" was in an eclipse which we dusted. So when he went to turn on to what I thought was the highway they turned into a gas station instead. So my bud was like "I wanna see this 3rd gear you've been talking about." So I went on the highway and absolutely opened it up. But not 15 seconds after we were on the highway, and 120 MPH later I saw lights behind me. So I pulled over, and since my parents always tell me to drive slow and be safe plus I JUST got the car the 4th. I was shitting the proverbial chicken. So when I pulled over he came to my window knocked told me to get out. I did and then he asked for my I.D. and all the other protocol. So he ran my I.D. and gave me the be careful speech and let me go. The scariest moment of my life. Ever. EVER! i am so happy to be home safe. wow, what a night.

I have 2 cars that trap well over 100 MPH myself in the 1/4 and I rarely go more than 10-15 over the speed limit, ever, doesn't mean you can't have fun (I have TONS of fun), I just don't take it to speeds that are more likely to kill myself or someone else, especially after the time I was TBoned by a street racer in my 02 GT, almost killing me...

DUDE. lighten up. at this late hour there are not as many cars.

but to not be biased here. i love my vette. i love the power of that supercharged 550 hp at the wheels LS2. i may take off fast but never, ever, go over 10 or 15 MPH speed limit. its just stupid. im licenced to drive like an a-hole (or raceing licenced) but the no-1 rule was be wise and dont drive like a race car on public roads. now i have broken that rule, but it was for an emergency where i could not get a plane ticket, and my dads pilot was on vacation, and my mother was seriously sick in ICU about 5 hours away from me.

but are you kidding on the track i have taken that think to almost 200 mph. its a wild ride.

once you get a little older you realize how many stupid things you did as a teenager, you then try to tell your kids or other teenagers when they start driving so they don't repeat your mistakes, but you have to remember as a teenager they think that they know everything so they once again repeat the mistakes. He let you off the hook after going 120? Did you offer him a box of donuts or something? Why cant I ever run into those cops? Almost everytime ive been given a ticket, I wasnt going more than 5 or 10 over the limit. You got extremely lucky

wow youre a lucky son of a bitch. had a buddy in an 02 neon srt with an aditional 10k in it decided to show off on the highway. it was one of the curvy highways here speed limit is 55, 60. he was clocked at 130. when he got pulled over he was yanked from the car, cuffed and shoved into the patrol car in about 30 seconds. I watched from the off ramp. but wait it gets better!! he only had a learner permit for 2weeks. he was 15 still!! gets better still..... his parents were contacted. they got to the "scene" and they took him and the car home. no ticket, no suspended liscense. NOTHING!!!!

sucks how they stupid moments (120,130mph) law enforcment let go. but to the speed limit pushers (5-15 over) are nailed daily!

Well for one the kid wasnt going to be the one paying for the fines, the parents will, so might as well let the parents just deal with it anyways, they probably had no idea of a SRT4's capabilities other than its a bit better than your standard beater neon, and they wanted their child to have something decent for school.

What exactly did he have done that cost 10k$? i know of a few SRT4's with less invested that are almost full track queens (forged motor, large turbo, fuel, full suspension, cage) that havent spent 10k yet.

i am not sure what exactly. i frown on ricers so i didnt really care. i do know he had a lot of it in outside looks and inside looks. i am not gonna lie, it was pretty damn fast. i knew my f150 wasnt gonna beat except in a collision.

Streetracing and getting caught is like being in a herd of Zebras and getting chased by the king of the jungle. You dont necessarily have to be faster than the lion, you just have to be faster than the slowest one in the pack.
