Whats the mileage on your 5.0??

i have 315,000 on mine and only has had intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket put on it. also did i mention about 5 years ago a 8mm socket got knocked down the intake and is still in there!!! you cant kill a 5.0!!!

You can kill a 5.0 though, I'm sure the block was re-usable however! I still have it, 112k miles on it, I cracked a few ring lands on the pistons.. oops

currently I've got 6500ish on the motor, 118.5k on the car..

My 89 had 186k miles on her when I sold it

lol yup excpecialy if they are highly modded, mine just has full headers, o/r h pipe, flows,3.73's,and a superchips chip. if the motor ever goes out i am planning a d.s.s. 331 with twin hair dryers and a 6 spd and fab 9 rear. with about 20 pds of boost to hopefully reach my goal of around 750- 800 rwhp. that should be just about right for a daily drivin street car!! lol

Yes yes.....331 with a kenne bell is what im lookin at doing, 6 speed, and rebuild my 8.8....i only have 76,600 on my 5.0 though and it's still my dd so the toys might be a while.

lol i have a wife and i just ordered her a 45k twin turbo bmw (it will late september or october before it gets over here) so it will be awile for me to. plus the 3000 dollars i sunk in my new 68's 351w i built just was destoyed thanks to the push rods that came not hardened like they stated and my guide plates ate the push rods and the metal shavings stoped up the oil galleys causing the the back lobe of the cam to be sarved of oil and flattened the lobe and dished the lifter. so now out she comes once more to be rebuilt for the second time in only 300 miles. so the fox is going to be sometime.

A whole 68,000 on our '92, most of it in it's earlier years. Now we're lucky to put 500 miles a year on it...

im impressed with my DSS, however if I planned on making a monster i'd definetly go with a dart of some kind, or a boss block so long as you stay under 3.25"
