Hello all,

I'm new to the forums, but I have a question. Around Dec 27th 07 I got a '95 Mustang GT/GTS from my brother for 3500 with 170,010 miles on it. After driving it for a few weeks I noticed that the Odometer/trip meter didn't work, it stayed at 170,010 miles, but the Speedometer, fuel gauge etc. all worked. I took it to my local Ford Dealership to get a diagnostic done to see what was wrong. They wanted roughly $500 to fix it.

I declined that finding I could fix it for cheaper then that, so I looked about, I found a '95 gauge cluster on Ebay motor, with after-market white faces, looked through the guys previous auctions and he had great feedback, so I bought it for 15 bucks. The only thing the guy said was wrong was the needle's don't register anything. I got it hooked it up correctly and the needles don't move at all when I turn on the car. Then I found out my Speedometer cable is melted near the plug on the tranny, so I ordered a new one.

My main question is why don't the needles work and what would I have to do to get them to work?

Thanks, next question is the Speedometer cable I bought for my wasn't the right one from what I understand from my neighbor who was a car mechanic. But does anyone have a good picture of the plug for a '95 mustang speedometer cable?
