i have a 68 fastback and i already converted it to front disks using parts off a 79 granada. well my brakes suc even worse now. i want to put power on her but i was told you have to change the brake pedal. the power booster and master clyinder came off the same car. also do i need to change the proportoning valve to a disk brake one?

did you use and adjustable push rod that is needed after doing the swap?
also, when putting stock style power brakes on it you do need the stock power pedal. there are other kits out there that don't require the stock style pedal though.

no just used the disk of the granada, none of the power stuff is on my stang, its still manual but with disk instead of drums. ordered a gt dick brake proportioning valve for it so maybe that will help.

when swapping over you also need to change the master cylinder. Get a master cylinder from a 74-5 maverick with manual front disc brakes. The MC for manual disc brakes has a different bore size in to make the brake work the way there are meant to. And, you also need the proportioning valve. Adjust it to when you stomp on the brakes the back brakes do not lock up first.
