Change of plans. What do you think?

So I was planning on pouring a good bit of money into every feasible bolt-on which would keep the car naturally aspirated but as monstrous as possible. Then I decided to just supercharge the car for only slightly more money.
Any thoughts on this?

Well, what are your goals with the car?
The problem with supercharging it is that you really can't "only" supercharge it...If you intend to be making significant power (i.e. 450+ rwhp range), you will also need to do things to stiffen up the rearend, such as LCA's, upper 3rd, rear-end girdle, etc. etc...then if you intend to turn up the boost, you will need to build up the motor to handle it, blah blah, so-on ans so-forth...
Not to mention the fact that your definition of "bolt-ons" is probably different from someone else;s? when you say bolt-ons, do you mean cams and/or nitrous and that sort of stuff, or do you simply mean intakes, gears, etc...If you mean the latter, then you will be severaly limited in the power you can make, i would guess probably in the 325 rwhp range with the basics, and maybe 375 rwhp with 400 being a stretch going with a good cam setup...
All of that being said, it will cost quite a bit of money regardless of the path you take, and it will all be dependent on what you are wanting to get out of the car...

SC'ing a car is not a big deal IF you do it right and stay within the range that it can hold. I would not go over 450/450 at the wheels on an 05+ gt... if thats ok then go for it.

just slapping on a supercharger will bottleneck the true performance of the car. sure, you will see more power, but it is still being held back by your car missing key foundation mods.

The numbers will come out by tomorrow but it should be about 400rwph with just the 5lb pulley.
I have already done stuff for the suspension. Saleen shocks, Saleen struts, Saleen lowering springs, Saleen front sway bar, Steeda LCA's, Steeda rear sway bar. For wheels and tires I have 20x9 up front with 275 tires and 20x10.5 rear with 315's.
The bolts ons would have included cams and everthing else imaginable. lol.
I just want a sweet sweet daily driver that can handle itself on the occassional trip to the track (course or strip). I also have a few minor accents for the car like the wheels, billet grill and shorty antennae. I also want a hood and maybe sidescoops to help with a look to set me apart from the stockers. That's really what it comes down to. Different from stock and fun fun fun.

who needs a new hood and sidescoops to set you apart from stock whenever your car has a nice whine to it. congrats on the purchase.

05RedDevil, I don't know if you know this yet(because it hasn't been released) but Saleen is releasing our 302 crate motor in short and long block configurations very soon. N/A vs S/C, your call but I thought I'd just throw that out there... Hit Brent or me up for more info.

Even with just bolt-ons you'll have to do suspension mods anyway because the stock stamped parts are worthless after another 50 rwhp. Supercharging will give you the best bang for the buck but you'll have to shell out at least 4 grand just for starters. IMHO, if you want to be faster than 50% of the GT's on the street, just do bolt-ons. If you want to be faster than 90% of the GT's and just about anybody else (ricers and wannabees) -- Supercharge!
