Cool transmission slip after driven

need some advise after i drive my ,1994 5.0 automatic trans
begins to slip this started to happen after shift kit was installed .engine will
reve up to 3500prm trans will slip as if goinign into neutral let off gas pedal
rpms then reach 2500 to 2000 rpms and trans will engage have original trans
just a shift kit was installed ,what can i do??????

I would recommend checking all the new parts installed in the car considering your problem just started after their install. Changing the trans fluid to a full synthetic fluid as well may help, unless the fluid on your dip stick is blackish and burnt in which case it may not be safe to flush. Also while checking, make sure the trans fluid isn't low, if so that will contribute to the slipping. Good luck, hope you get it fixed.

it could be that the shift kit made the problem more noticable than it was before since it up's line pressure~ but it could be a problem with the install. Dont sit on it get it checked asap

a few things I can think of that would cause 'slip' would be worn clutches or faulty clutch activation mechanisms but usually it's a low or incorrect fluid problem

as spector said if your transmission was already on the weak side of its life span a shift kit will usually worsen things.
