2006 V6 Exaust
Ok i did a little browsing and found some stuff but not really what i was looking for.

I have been looking around for X-pipe to go true dual, found one site but they no longer sell X-pipe seperately anymore, comes only with PYPES EXHAUST "69" series Stainless Steel MID-MUFFLER Cat-Back. I was told that the tech and performance is comparable to Maxflow and Flowmaster. I trying to find some input on what others my know from exp or heard from others.

Any comments would be great

hmm dont expect very much of a gain from an exhaust system since you are near stock. Check atomicperformance.com to see if they have any exhaust setups like you are looking for.

Well I wasnt exactly looking for an increase in performance, looking for increased airflow and of course what everybody wants, getting better sound which with this setup using mid mufflers i can get more of an exotic sound. If I cant get the V8 sound then exotic sounds like it would be cool.

The increased airflow are for things to come, i am just starting. So far i have got a custom paint job, Eibach PRO-SYSTEM-PLUS with the Sportline springs.

this is my baby

what lowering setup do you have going on, did you adjust the panhard bar (if you didnt you should asap)

the 4.0Ls do sound pretty good just dont overdo it and have a very loud odd sounding vehicle.

It is the eibach pro system (struts, swaybars, sport line springs, and bushings) had it all installed at a local shop and had everything re-aligned. Still have stock panhard bar (non adjustable). Control arms upper and lower front and rear are next along with a new adjustable panhard bar. Want to do exaust, intake with a tune, throttle body(not sure if kit im looking at comes with one or not, still looking around) and spacer, under pully, coil and heavier wires, are next on my list tho.

I had installed H&R springs (1.7f 1.9r) and the ride was extremely harsh with stock struts still in. After looking around at prices on struts and swaybars to add and doing some research online and talking to a few techs localy and abroad, i found it better to go ahead and get kit from eibach and have springs reinstalled along with everything else. I do not regret decission, i am very happy with set up, handles great and rides good.

See now that is the only thing that is holding me back, i have no reference, i cant find any sound clips or know anybody that has had a dual exaust installed or even new muffs for that matter. I dont wnat to get it installed and find that it sounds like one of those old 4 bangers with no mufflers that make all that nose and they are only going 10 miles per hr

anybody out there have a 05+ 4.0 V6 that have had dual exaust installed, what do you think of the sound and what kind of system are you running?
