Well the tranny went

Last night I was pulling from a stop sign and 1st gear ran all the way up with very little throttle. Worried me. I let off the pedal and it shifted into second but made a pretty nasty noise and then had no power in 3rd or OD. Basically I am riding around with first and second gear...

So I parked the car and took it off the road. im driving my Honda again....

But hey, this will give me the excuse to finally convert to a 5speed!

So does anyone know a place that will sell Auto to manual swap kits or at the very least sell the individual parts at reasonable prices? I have a bookmark of what the swap entails but I don't want to have to go through Ford and get raped or the junkyards and get bad stuff. I need quality for a good price.


So the list of things that need fixin while shes down goes like this...

Transmission(5 speed maybe)
Water Pump(at the very least the gasket)
Fuel Pump(it whines so loud I can hear it over MY exhaust, plus it changes tone when my blinkers are on haha)
Fuel Filler Pipe to Tank seal(leaks when Im over 3/4 tank)
Differential(staying 7.5, t-lok and gears)
Maybe the driveshaft

Then to top it all off Im going to do some much needed body repair on the dents on my roof and repaint the car myself. Color suggestions?

So yea Im broke for a year or so haha. BUT, when I do get this thing back the only thing it will need to complete my ultimate sleeper look is the 4.2 bottom end! Still stock suspension, rims, and almost stock appearance.

It was a 4r70w with about 60k on it.

You have to realize how many times I have beaten on this thing and it lasted as long as it did. I remember I used to neutral drop it back in the day. But stoppped that. Regular WOT runs up to 100 or so, hard driving on curvy roads where I was making it shift down to 2nd so I can come out of the turn screaming haha. I just needed a 5 speed cause I drove it like one. The tranny-gods did me a favor
