I have a 98 3.8L and am getting 18X9 cobra r rims and was wondering what is the best tire for them?....i was thinking about 275/35/18 but does anyone know if they will rub any at full lock? Also anyone know if Nexen is a good tire? looking at the nexen N7000 or N3000 but i want a good all-season tire

275 should be decent on a 9" rim. I have no problems with that on the front of my 05. What are you looking for out of the tire? Cost? Traction? Life?

Well i would like to have all three  but i know they wont last long but i found nexen N7000 for 106 apeice is that a good price and a good tire? |

Damn. $106 for 18" Ultra-High Performance Tires, that's sounds like one hell of a sweet deal. I don't see how they couldn't be more than sufficient for you. They seem like great daily driver tires.

Yea its a really good deal I found them at edgeracing.com...I looked for at least 5 hours today and that is the cheapest place I found, thx for the help too |

i got yokohama avs es 100's for about that price (but i dont think they make them anymore)... the new line is Sdrive and i think they are a bit more but ive never had problems with yokos (and ive ran them on 3 cars so like 5-6 sets) |

I ran 275/35-18's on my 18x9's on my 02 V6 with only minor rubbing at full lock. Easy way to say it...don't go full lock. If you're really that worried about it you can get a set of steering limiters off an 03/04 cobra and you'll be set.
Another question, are you lowered any?

275 or a 265 (personally a 275 would be my choice) rubbing is a given but only at full lock, not a big deal. on the 03/04 cobras they have a clip to keep the cars from turning to much so they dont rub~ you can do the same.

cobra rims nice but look at after maket saleens 9/18 front 10/18 back 265 /35/18 front 295 /35 /18 back check out tire rack for your rubber have rateings on all tires so you can compare runing this combo on my 96 gt no problens with ciearance |
