Hey, someone shoot straight and give me CONSERVATIVE, realistic expectations for rwhp & rwtq on my project. I don't want to be dissappointed, so shoot low.
8 psi Vortech non-intercooled
1. [Estimate Numbers]
12 psi Vortech non-intercooled
2. [Estimate Numbers]
FYI...
Vortech V2
80mm lightning MAF
255lph fuel pump
42# Injectors
Fordchip
oh, and the Aluminum driveshaft (+2 rwhp baby! W00T!

on a 99+ correct?
1) 260-270
2) 290??
? I dont really know anyone with a vortech so I cant compare. I know with a 11psi procharger on a stock motor my friend made 278... so Im basing it off that.
dont forget youll need your stock crank pulley.
edit: just realised your 5spd.

like i said on 3.8.
8psi, you'll see 250rwhp max when not IC'd
12psi you should see about 290 like stangin99 said.

In looking at the actual HP gains I am amazed at the differences in the gains between to very similar cars. I have learned that it hard to determine the actual gain on a specific car!!! In the Ballpark is about as close as gets with dyno guessing!!!!

True Mr. Corey. Just looking to get a conservative ballpark figure.
Still leaning towards the 12 non-intercooled setup. Add and "aftercooler" (essentially water-to-air intercooler) later.

I concur with the numbers stangin99 and Monkey saidI would hope with the 8 psi you would see a litttle more than 250rwhp but then again it is in the ballpark

If you have a dyno on the baseline, we can all make a better guess.
I'm saying +60 (8#) and +90 (12#) for the HP ratings.
It could be as high as +65 and +100 maybe...
I agree with the consensus.

LOL! You took me literally. I was being sarcastic, I have NO idea what the actually rwhp gains of the driveshaft was, I just know it wasn't much at all-thus the 2 rwhp comment. I've heard anywhere from 2-5 rwhp.
Not really wanting to spend the money on getting a dyno run to establish my baseline. I wish it was more affordable and I would . It would be nice to have a before/after reference.

OK, kewl.
250 RW might be a bit high, you are at probably 170 RW now so expect at least 230 RW. IMO

I was thinking I had ~170ish right now too and was adding it up.
This all leans me to go 12psi. 230rw is just not very impressive.
Oh if I could afford the "Aftercooler"!
