BBK TB brings trouble to a lot of users, but usually these problems are usually resolved by following BBK's TPS voltage instuction on a stock car they are not worth much. But on a car with a decent CAI with 90mm+ MAF housing the BBK 62mm may be worth 5-6rwhp I've read people are going to the GT-500 TB over the BBK

TB's are usually not good for much of anything on a near stock engine

I'll have to agree with you. A friend of mine went to a BBK with no power gain on the dyno. MMR uses an adapter plate for the GT-500 TB and has had good luck with it. As for swapping them out...I'd wait until I actually needed more airflow than the stock unit will allow. No sense in messing with something if it isnt needed. Your better off spending the money elsewhere. My two cents worth...

I agree with them totally. So the next question is: what parts do you have on the car now and are you still looking to get power gains for something in the $300 range?

the C&L street CAI will be your best bet. Doesn't really matter if you get a DiabloSport Predator tuner or an SCT XCal tuner, it is more dependent on the place that loads the tunes for you.
