Hi all, a buddy of mine wants a mustang (thanks to me) and i said i'd help him out. I found an 01 GT with 11,400 miles for 8500. Does this seem too low considering the mileage. It is a private owner and I can't tell if anything is wrong with th car - pic from autotrader. Just thought i'd ask before we spend 2+ hours to drive there.

Thanks

low low miles and price is good.. hmm I would run not only a carfax but have the car checked out at a shop. Get under it and look for body damage, etc as well as check for flood signs and all that. Might can go as far as making sure the vin matches up with the right engine stamp and such~ just dont jump into anything. Maybe put a 100 dollar deposit and check it and and if its all good then your good to go.

Thanks guys, i figured we would do a full history report on it before even considering handing the guy a check. Felt skeptical with such a good price with the miles.
Let you know what happens.

Well, my buddy talked to the seller, it turns out the car actually has 114,000 miles on it. It was a misprint on autotrader. He's not sure if he wants to look at it now, its up to him, the car looks like its in good condition. But thanks for your advice.

Yah, that is true, if he decides he still wants to see it, we will do the full inspection and report, and probably have it checked out.
