We are trying to figure out what type of exhaust to put on our 07 GT. I'm not too crazy about reverb noise inside the car at lower speeds, like some people have told us about after install new exhaust systems. Does anyone have suggestions? Thank you!

I dunno bout 05+ but i love the Bassani catback on my 03 Cobra with the stock H installed. I also was a big fan of the Spintechs on my 02 GT with the stock H (had a catless Xpipe on it and it sounded like ass), gave it a nice old-school musclecar roar at WOT and nice sounds at cruise and ZERO drone (IE like flowmasters). My bassani on the cobra has a wee bit of drone at 2k but its nothing that annoys me.

magnaflow in the regular axle back is not loud enough IMO. Ive heard the ford racing axle back (little round muffler said to be made by borla) and an off road X and it sounded about as loud as mine with just a catback for what its worth~ seems the 05+ dont make as much noise with just mufflers.

You will find it to be very true with exhaust that you get what you pay for. I have cat-back Borla stingers and they are incredible and I get compliments all the time. I'm looking to throw on Kooks long tubes before summer's end and that will just be ridiculous. Splurge all the way and get Corsa mufflers if you have really deep pockets and want insane sound and no low-end drone.
How much are you looking to change out: axle-back, cat-back, midpipe, headers?

I have the Ford Racing "Stingers" that are made by Borla on my '06, and they definitely have the so called "drone" at some speeds. It doesn't bother me, but if you already have decided you don't want to deal with it, pay the big bucks and go with the Corsas...

I have regular Borla exhaust, and I love it. No drone at all, yet, still sounds nice and mean up top

I switched out the stock muffs w/ Boomtubes and it sounded pretty good! It's very noticeable and almost sounds like a truck. Cabin noise isn't too bad unless your rpm's are high from stepping on the gas. I just switched out the mid pipe with an o/r bbk x pipe today and it sounds good unless you step on it! It made it twice as loud and deeper but gets rather higher pitched, raspy, crackly once it hits about 2200 rpm. Btubes are not bad for price but better quality is worth more money. I think i may need to switch back over to muffs cause i don't wanna take the x pipe off. Having a straight setup with no back pressure is loud!

I'm like you, do it right the first time, so whatever it takes to make it sound awesome is what I'll do. My husband put Bassani cat-back on his Lightning the first round and it just didn't sound like he wanted it to so he went back for midpipes. It sounds amazing now!

Talk about loving exhaust note. My back end sounds even more beautiful with the added flow from the supercharger. I just had a spirited encounter with an Audi R8 tonight and got talking to the driver at a light afterwards and he said that he had to admit my exhaust sounds incredible when behind me. lol. Hells yeah compliments from a $109K car

What kind of headers? I want to get Kooks LT but there are other mods I want that come before those.
