Found a nice deal on a 4.6 and tranny from a 98gt.

Gonna pick it up and swap over to an 8. I have plenty of time to do this since I do have another car. While the motor is out I'm going to do a PI Ported Head/Cam swap, Longtubes, and some kind of Intake system.

Maybe grab a nice clutch and flywheel too.

Anyways Im psyched. Not only am I swapping to a 5 spd, but Im also picking up a v8 complete with a harness and computer.

So that leaves the question what else besides a driveshaft, rear end, fuel pump, and Im guessing a transmission crossmember do I need?

I have read that the motor mounts match right up. I have not heard about the oil pan clearing the 3.8's kmember.

And suspension wise, is there a difference between how the 8.8 and 7.5 bolt in? Rear suspension between a 6 and 8 I would imagine would be about the same. Im sure the car's two asses weigh about the same. But the front I am worried about. Can I get away with my v6 suspension for the time being?

Braking system, how much trouble would it be?

Gauge Cluster and harness, this seems like it will be the most difficult part, am I wrong?

Besides what Ive listed does anyone else see any other problems arising?
