So Tivo and Comcast? Anyone have the combination?

This Comcast DVR is pissing me off. It's recording House MD in half HD and half regular ass definition.

So I am thinking about buying a Tivo instead.... pros cons? Possible? I'd rather give Tivo 12.95 a month rather than Comcast... do you have to have a phone line cause I don't have a phone here.....

I believe stand alone cable tivo boxes can use your network. And I say go tivo. I am definitely pro TiVo. I am using mine as long as I can, and when it goes out, I will hack it, since DTV no longer uses it.
