Go coil overs or stay with stock style with springs

Ok, I'm trying to setup a plan for the car for this year. Suspension is #1 on the list due to the knocks and bangs I have going on in the rear right now.

Obviously, there are 2 options: Go coil over, or stay with my same setup and just get some actual springs and change out from my cut stockers.

Which would be a better idea for a car that is more interested in cruising and doing some real spirited cornering? Common sense tells me coil overs, but I'm not a suspension expert.

If coil overs, what kind of spring rate would you suggest?

coilovers for the win. you can not go wrong with fully adjustable ride height. friend of my campain's a 96 cobra with Koni sport adj shocks and Custom Ground-Control coils, and adjusters. also uses a camber kit (dont know the name.) So all and all i would go the same route myself if I had the money right now.

*EDIT*

nevermind he doesnt had ground controls, he has h&r race springs. but there are companies that make to coilover for the car though im just not sure where to find them
