its all in the person taht does the tune, not the tunner type itself. I would loop at good v6 dyno tunners~ it seems though SCT holds more custom programs than diablo.

so the difference between the SCT livewire and the X3 is that the livewire stays in your car all the time right??

i think that is the basic idea but there is more to it like you can see what your engine is doing on the fly... its more of a data logger kinda thing

You can tune your own car with an SCT as well if you know what you're doing...not recommended with ANY tuner unless you know what your doing.

And the difference between the XCal and the Livewire is price. Save the money and get the XCal 3...or a used XCal 2. The live wire does not need to stay in your car, and it just has a screen that will show you your data logging on the fly...whereas the Xcal requires you plug it into a laptop...which is better anyhow since you can see everything at once on a big screen, not a tiny one.

thats not what im getting at... if youve never used sniper then you wont realize... but you can more or less change it for mods as you do them... headers, x, catback, nitrous, blower, etc.... and its all computer based and it data logs... so its all in one...

That's my point as well....So is the x-cal. You flip through the options, set the settings, write the tune. You can change the spark, fuel, shift points, etc...and you can data log too....
