Recently I purchased a transmission as my old one locked me out of 3rd/4th gear afterwards I found out I would need a new torque converter, I'm not to 'car smart' as I am right now and am just getting into cars so any help is appreciated, I have a 2001 ford mustang 3.8 v6 engine and the model no. off the transmission is pke-bc i believe. thanks again!

Hey out of curiosity, your problem with your tranny, mine is doing the sme thing.
I have 2nd and 1st gear but as soon as it shifts to 3rd it's like its in neutral unless I turn overdrive off.
With overdrive off believe it or not it just stays in 2nd and I have a 2 speed .
Yours do the same?

That sounds like a problem that probably isn't the torque converter...

those transmissions are pretty cheap so you should be able to find one without to much hassle.
