Is it me or is mis-badging 05+ stangs common place now...?

It seems everytime I turn around I see a mustang with something on it that shouldnt be there... and for some reason 95% of it is on the 05+ body style
What is it with people and doing this? Is it because more non mustang buyers picked up the 05+ style and dont know any better? Was it the shelby name being straped on a car that made others think it was ok to do something similar~ etc etc.. I see GT350 and GT500 and GTR and BOSS and MACH 1 and snakes all over them, and all sorts of crap..
maybe its just the retro body style~

I'd chalk it up to older people buying the 05+ style and then turning it into their child hood dream car (Boss, Mach 1, GT350 etc etc)

i think everybody knows my stance on this lol, i hate it when someone badges their car something that its not. and spector you are right, i've seen that a lot lately with fake shelbys and fake roushs

I do not think people are trying to make you think they have something they don't. That would be badging a V6 as a GT, for example. I think it has to do with the abundance of body kits and people building it into what they want which resembles an icon which is not factory produced. Do you see any 05+ Mach 1's from Ford? No. So if you see one, then it is someone who has obviously build it themselves and are proud of it.
Those bastards who pose with their fobra's and fake Saleen's or fake Roush's. Ohhh, I could put I hurting on them. lol.

I am more concerned with gt's that put shelby and snakes all over their vehicle when they either have no idea what they really mean... or want to pose as something they are not.

Ok, that I do understand as a heresy and agree that is just wrong but I have seen the same thing with previous models, not just the 05+
