hey guys. i finally balled up and bought a mustang.
its a 2004 mustang gt with 42k miles. i kno the owner and he was origianl owner and takes care of all of his vehicles. right now mods are BBK CAI, C&L Plenum, and Flowmaster american thunder catback. im thinking about adding an x pipe prolly slp then also get the slp loudmouth II catback along with underdrive pullies, and a diablo tune. my friend is urging me to get 4:10s but i think 3:73s would be better for my planned setup. any ideas?!
enjoy!

Well, I haven't done anything to mine except a K&N filter, but haven't had it for a few months. First thing i'm going to do to mine is a short throw shifter. A lot of people on the site says that MGW is the top choice.

I like the wheels. They definitely look good but do you know what size they are? As for changing out the gears there are two questions: (1) AT or MT and (2) mainly city or mainly highway driving? Do you want all performance mods or are you thinking of suspension and appearance stuff as well?

thanks all.
05red devil- those rims are 17 inch faulkens i belive. as for the gears, its a manual and i do about 50/50 city and hwy. im leaning toward 373s because i do plan on FI in the future. as it sits now it has lowering springs but i personally would like to drop it a little more, and i do plan on doing cosmetic work but nothing too much. just a nice clean ride.

Nice looking Mustang.3:73 gears is the way to go.At least that what I'v been told.Asfar as an X pipe there's many different makes they all sound very simular.I have the magnaflow X & I love the way it sounds, really mean. Definatly get a short throw shifter the differance from the stock shifter is like night & day.Either MGW or Steeda. There both pretty good. 100 times better than the stock one.

looks nice and clean, major plus in my books. I would get a real dyno tune and plan all my mods and probably go with 3.73s~
