i just baught a 94 cobra last year that had a moderate vibration at about 2,ooo rpm and up. the guy that I baught it from had put a new harmonic balancer on it last year because the old one was bad. i recently put new motor mounts in it, changed clutch and preasure plate, had the flywheel turned. the vibration still has not went away. if anything it seems to have gotten worse. would he have gotten a bad harmonic balancer, or should I have replaced the flywheel rather than having it turned. or could it be internal? any help would be greatly appreciated.

it vibrates the entire car. seems to be comming from the front. the motor looks like it doesn't vibrate at all from the outside but when you sit in it you can definetly feel the vibration.

You sure you don't have a flat spotted tire or a well worn tire?

it vibrates at a stand still but it does seem to get a little worse when driving down the road.

drive shaft out of balance? was the engine rotating assembly ever messed with? If the internals were replaced and not balanced the whole car would vibrate bad.

if the engine hasn't been messed with internally, i'd do a engine balance test and see if you can locate a problem down to a single cylinder.. alot of things that could actually be.

thanks for all the replys guys. I just baught a new flywheel and replaced the original one that I had turned and it cured the vibration. Evidently the flywheel must have been warped or out of balance or someone could have put the wrong one in before I bought it? I am not sure what the heck happened, but its fixed with the new flywheel. woohoo!!

I wonder if someone installed the wrong counterweight on the old one? Glad you got it working though!
