T-5 transmissions ?

how much power can these things take my first one lasted 3 years with 330hp i just got it rebuilt and the rebuilt one lasted 2 months and blew up. and the guy said he wont warranty it cause i have too much power. so im getting one from a 94/95 v8 put in. the guy said this one is stronger, but what transmission do i need i plan on putting out about 450hp to the rear wheels when im done. my performance guy justin from jpc racing said to get a g-force but those are like 2,000 dollars

The 94/95 t-5 won't take 450 hp, can take 330 for a little but thats even a lot for that tranny. If your putting down that much power, g-force is the way to go. A TKO 500 or 600 would work as well but they're even more expensive. This is one of those situations where you have to pay to play otherwise you're going to keep breaking transmissions.

A little hint. Always buy a clutch that takes less than your trans. Allot cheaper to replace. I used to run 2.3turbos and could find 4cyl. exhausts for 75ea. so I didn't care. Now, with the V-6 t-5's running 300+ at the junkyards, I do.
