TSB related to gear install?

I had my FRPP 4.10 gears installed about two weeks ago. For the past week or so my car seems to be affected by the TSB 06-12-11-limited axle moan/groan during low speed turning manuvers. Is it just a coincidence or is it related to the gear install?

the reason the gears are whinning or groaning is due to the fact that they were not installed correctly. When the gears are to tight (spacing not set right) they will make noises~ the backlash needs to be set with many other factors.

I would go back and ask them if they set the backlash, pinion depth, and checked the wear pattern, if they didnt... they didnt do the install right. Just to make sure I would make them replace the gears with new ones. Its not going to mess up anything its just annoying.

The problem didn't occur until about a week to a week and a half after install. I got to watch him do most of the install? He checked the backlash about 2-3 times. He also checked the pinion depth a few times. The total install time took about 5.5 hrs. I thought he took his time with the install trying to get everything just right.

I had the shop add more friction modifier. He did it for free. If in a week or so the sound comes back, he said to bring it back in and they will use ford brand friction modifier. Regarding the TSB, I already had the 06-12-11 done about 4-5 mths ago. I knew had one of the TSBs done for the rear axle moan and groan.

hes trying to avoid doing the labor, its an install error, hes gonna have to tear into it and fix the tolerances.it happened after a week because the gears wore into each other, thay just wore in wrong.

He said give it a week or so, if it happens again then the will reinstall the gears. I don't think at the time he was trying to avoid doing the labor. The shop is a two-man operation and when I bought my car in, they were still working on another mustang.
