So I again am looking at some problems with my planning on this project. Its a 98 gt and I would like to put a set of 20s on it. So Im wondering if there would be a point to lower it or if you even can. If I can what would be the best choice of attack.

you wont be able to lower it much if at all as 20s are just to bit forthepre 99 stangs~ they dont have the large wheel area like the 05+ so they look good.

your best bet is 18" and lower it. 20s might look a bit too big.

I love big wheels but don't think they would fit well on your car

18s seem to be the unspoken limit on 94-04 stangs. Take fox bodies for instance (79-93) 17s are about the limit on them~ some do 18s but thats pushing it.

yaya, it was a fixer-upper cosmetically when i got it. i just wanted to show that the car fit 20" rims on it and that was with stock springs. it looks a million times better w/ the 17x9 & 17x10.5 but some people do like the big rims.

ya, 18's much better, get some saleen's or cobra r's. 20's just make it look like a tonkastang.
