Convertible top

I own a 1999 mustang convertible, and I absolutely love her... I bought her brand new right off the lot, so I have been the only owner. I put a lot of effort into maintaining her mechanically, but I never paid much attention to anything else...Well, now my top is separating from the window.My question is, has anyone been able to repair this w/o replacing the whole top? I was just quoted $600.00 to replace it, and I was told that that is my only option.Unfortunately I cant afford that right now.Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

You might can have it glued back or something, but it's not gonna be a permanant fix.

a new top isnt that expensive and you can probably put it on yourself~ (i think at least) I wouldnt think 600 would be worth it just to fix a problem when a new top is only 250-300

I Know. I found tops on line where I can purchase the whole thing window and all for like 279.00.....I have a friend I think can help me put it on. Thanks a million...This sight is great.
