I bought a 06 GT about a month ago and love it. Well, except that it has been to the dealer twice in two weeks with a overheating problem. Second time they found fan wasn't working. Put one on and two days later I'm hot again. Fan does not appear to be working again. Going back to dealer tomorrow. But I'm wondering, since I bought it used with 23000 miles, and it has problems, what may have happened before it was traded in. Can anyone here do an Oasis check for me. Vin is 1ZVHT82H165179024 A pay site said they found 16 records on my vin, but they want twenty bucks to tell me, and I think it may be a scam. Help Please

If you're having that many problems the ford dealership will be responsible for it....maybe to the point of a new car if you play your cards right.

it may be as simple as the control that turns the fan on/off isnt working right. Either way make THEM fix it and dont let them walk over you.

Yeah, there is a factory warranty on that vehicle and it is a new purchase which should have a limited warranty from the specific dealership so make sure they fix it and do it right.

Ok, we had it out today. Found the problem ( they Say, we will see). The high speed fan relay had been swaped by someone, to an aftermarket peice with a small gage wire pigtail comming out of it. I didn't see it until they pulled it out to show me, so was that really the problem and was it there when I bought it? Who knows. But they said it was aftermarket and they wouldn't replace it and cover the labor because of that. They also said , because I bought it used from another, non Ford dealer, that they should be liable. They wanted eighty seven bucks and have to order the part to do the job I said no so, I had to buy the part and put it in myself, and they couldn't get one until Monday. After a lot of anger and screaming, I ordered one and paid twenty seven bucks for it, and the General manager took one out of a lot car and put it in mine. So I don't have to wait till monday to ride and I could get home today. Do I think it was a Sh&*ty deal for me the consumer that was caught in the middle with a broken car that is still under Ford Warrenty,,,,,,,,,F&*K Yes. But I am riding for now and we will have to see if I overheat again.
So I wonder,,,if the previous owner put the bastard relay in,,,WHY?? And what could it have been hooked to? Anyway thanks guys....
