and yes, those burnouts are from me. Had to leave halfway through the meet to run and get more batteries, so i did a little show. got showed up later.....
Heres more of the black spyder:
This is the cleanest DSM ever conceived by man. GT35R in a t3/t4 housing, fully built 2.3L stroker, TRE tranny, everything that can basically be done to a dsm is done. Such to the point he goes out of his way to fully clean everything, replace with new parts from the stealership, etc. He has bags laying around of new bolts and brackets waiting to be used. oh btw, its one of only a handful of AWD Spyders in the world, and he is currently building a second. He has the parts for a 3rd swap too, says he wants to do a 3rd AWD conversion and "go all out" with it. If the below isnt all out already, i dunno what is.
btw, ive always called BS on the AWD Burnout till he actually showed it to me this weekend. All he had to do was rev to about 3k and build a little boost and all 4 lit up like nothing. made my meaty rwd burnout look weak compared to awd burnouts.

How much horse power do you think that DSM has?

at 15psi he dynoed 480fwhp. hes now awd but at 28-30psi. id imagine somewhere around 600awhp easily on pump, probably more if he runs 100octane or race gas like he wants to do.

ill believe it when i see it happen. Still in about eh, 5 years of being into those cars, i have yet to see an actual Crankwalked car. Likely cause of how old these cars are, those that wouldve walked have done so already. usually happens before 50k, which finding even a '99 with that kind of mileage is a rarity in itself.
plus crankwalk only occured on the 7 bolt motors (92.5 and up) and mainly on the manual GST's from 95-96. GSX's have been said to be almost immune, and 97-99 cars the reported cases were almost all debunked as simple things like crank pulley seperation causing the same issues as a cwalked motor.
however, any motor can technically crankwalk. IMO the thing i associate with the cars more is POS Transmissions. ive seen more tranny failures than any other part failures on those cars, mainly from abuse, neglect and old age though. ive seen one go out due to power.
btw nice to see a familiar name.
funny too, the red car's owner also has a 02 SS Camaro. I asked him if he was bringing the Catfish or the Large Mouth Bass to the meet.
btw like i said about the clean black spyder.....heres pics of him doing the AWD Swap
freaking insanity. its like cleaner than it is when it drove off the factory floor.
